Privacy policy
This policy explains what information is collected when you use FreeCharting (freecharting.com), how it is used, and the choices you have.
Your API keys, charts and settings
FreeCharting runs in your browser. API keys, watchlists, drawings, layouts and settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. Keys for live trading accounts are encrypted with a passphrase only you know. Each key is sent only to its own provider, directly from your browser, and never to our servers.
Market data requests
To show charts, your browser connects directly to the data providers and brokers you choose. Like any website, those providers receive your IP address and browser details with each request, under their own privacy policies.
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and features are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location and your device and browser type. Your API keys and chart data are never included. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first, and nothing is loaded unless they allow it. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
FreeCharting doesn’t show ads at the moment. If ads served by Google AdSense are shown on parts of the site in the future, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a consent message provided by Google before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used.

Contact form
If you send a message through the Contact page, its text, plus your name and Telegram username if you add them, is forwarded to us through Telegram so we can read it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person. We use these messages only to reply and to improve the site.
Hosting and links
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site. Links to other websites, such as the Buy Me a Coffee support page, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Children
FreeCharting isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Questions about privacy can be sent through the Contact page.
