Frequently asked questions
How are monthly returns calculated?
Each month’s return is its closing price compared with the previous month’s close, using Binance’s monthly candles (months start at midnight UTC). The first month after listing is measured from its open.
Is there seasonality in Bitcoin?
Some months have historically been stronger than others on average, but the sample is small (only a handful of years) and single big months skew averages. The median and the share of up months give a fairer picture than the average alone.
Can I see this for other coins?
Yes. Type any Binance pair, such as ETHUSDT or SOLUSDT, or pick one of the shortcuts. History starts when Binance listed the pair.
