Frequently asked questions

Where do the trades come from?

Every paper trade you make in the chart’s Trade tab appears here automatically, grouped into round trips from entry to exit (adds and partial exits included). You can also add trades from anywhere else by hand, or import them from a CSV file.

Is my journal private?

Yes. It’s stored only in this browser and never uploaded. Use Export CSV, or Backup in the chart’s settings, to keep a copy or move it to another device.

What do profit factor and expectancy mean?

Profit factor is total winnings divided by total losses: above 1 means the strategy made money. Expectancy is the average profit or loss per trade, which is what you’d expect to make on the next one if nothing changes.

Why tag trades?

Tags such as “breakout”, “news” or “revenge” show which setups and habits make or lose money. The journal totals your results for each tag.
